Low-Voltage Cabling

The infrastructure behind it all

Structured cabling, network drops, racks, and IDF build-outs — planned, pulled, terminated, and tested. Licensed for low-voltage work in Chicago.

What the work involves

Low-Voltage Cabling, in practice.

Structured cabling

Cat6 and Cat6A, and fiber where the run or the bandwidth calls for it. Planned against the floor plan rather than improvised around it.

Racks and IDF build-outs

Terminated, labelled and dressed. The difference shows up two years later when something has to be traced by somebody who was not there.

Tested and certified

Every run tested rather than assumed good. A marginal termination reads as an intermittent application problem for months before anyone suspects the cable.

Licensed in Chicago

Licensed for low-voltage work in Chicago, which is not optional and is worth confirming of anyone you hire for it.

Who it suits

Best fit for new build-outs, expansions and remodels — and for existing sites where nobody can say with confidence what is plugged into what.

Rarely on its own

Most jobs touch more than one of these.

Tell us what you're trying to run.

We'll scope it honestly — including telling you when something isn't worth doing.
